The programme structure

The programme is a highly intensive and challenging one, where full participation is required. The components included in the programmes are:

•    Skills assessment: Fastlaners will build on the skills you already have to ensure you develop those you lack.

•    Refining hard skills: You will be able to practice and prepare for the job application process with professionals who will help with CV writing, interview skills and much more.

•    Understanding soft skills: Confidence, motivation and communication are important factors in employment.

•    Group projects: You will develop vital interpersonal skills through team work, the opportunity to develop your own project and be entrepreneurial.

•    Work-place savvy: There will be interactive sessions with a number of professionals from various sectors of the labour market who will talk candidly about their careers and who will be able to take questions and offer advice directly.

•    Networking events: You will have the opportunity to meet and connect with role models from various sectors who could act as possible coaches/mentors.

•    Assessment Centre: You will take part in a real-life assessment centre to ensure that you understand the process involved in an assessment centre.

•    Sector talks: Professionals from various sectors and backgrounds will recount their life experiences and tips on how to approach certain sectors (such as arts, third sector, business, public sector, etc.) and offer frank advice.
