Fastlaners Connect (aka after programme support)
The aim of Fastlaners is to give participants the tools needed to find and gain employment.
However, we know that finding/getting a job can be challenging especially in the current job market. We aim for our Canary Wharf location to become a ‘hub’ for Fastlaners and a useful resource for participants who are searching for employment.
Fastlaners graduates will be able to use the Fastlaners offices for their job search and be given helpful advice and support. Participants will also be directed to various internship opportunities that are on offer through various partner organisations. There may also be internship opportunities to hone skills by helping out the Fastlaners team and assisting with the ongoing development of the Fastlaners programme.
Fastlaners graduates will be invited to regular 'meet-ups' where networking skills can continue to be honed, as well as be invited to skills and information sessions (such as internships, teaching, etc.).
Fastlaners will be given access to the contacts/networks that have been involved in making the programme such a success through the Yearbook.
On completion of the programme, Fastlaners graduate will be able to:
- Approach graduate job opportunities with renewed confidence
- Bring their experience, skills and understanding to help themselves and others securing interesting and diverse graduate employment
- Take full advantage of the networking opportunities available through the programme and its wealth of contacts/networks/volunteers
