Aaron is an Intern on Fastlaners

Aaron is working on Fastlaners and has a BSc in Economics and Actuarial Science.

I have an interest in government policy and wish to pursue a career at the cabinet office and with this in mind; I decided to use this time to gain valuable experience working with people on the frontline of social issues. I was not only interested in the Young Foundation because of its effect on government policies and social issues, but because it has achieved this through working in collaboration with other stakeholders.

As an Economics and Actuarial Science graduate, I am drawn to issues surrounding our future financial security and wellbeing. I believe the key to this country's future is to use its people effectively, particularly its graduates and I see this as a social issue. Many graduates are not achieving their full potential and fully benefitting themselves and their communities because they are not able to access the right job opportunities. Fastlaners is one of the programmes that seeks to address this and having worked with young people for a number of years, as well as being a Fastlaners graduate myself, I am very excited to be working with the Fastlaners team.
